Monday.com September 2025 Updates and Releases : What’s new

September 2025 saw monday.com push harder into AI and execution, not just planning. The company delivered enhancements across its core platform and specialized modules like CRM and Service.

Monday.com September 2025 Updates and Releases

Here’s a detailed look at what landed, where it applies, and how your teams can take advantage of it.

AI agents, smarter automation, and deeper integration (Platform & CRM)

One of the biggest announcements in September came at their Elevate conference: monday.com is accelerating its AI-driven vision.

  • Schedule updates: stay connected, even when you’re away (Work Management) A standout September feature is the ability to schedule updates on any board. Teams can now write an update in advance and choose when it will automatically post — perfect for global or asynchronous collaboration. Whether you want to share a progress summary at the start of a workday in another time zone or post a reminder during your time off, you can now plan it ahead.

This simple but thoughtful addition helps teams communicate more consistently, maintain rhythm across time zones, and reduce the rush of manual   posting.

  • monday agents: These are configurable AI specialists designed to go beyond simple task automation. Rather than only suggesting or drafting, agents can execute multistep workflows based on context, adapt when conditions change, and act across modules.
  • monday campaigns: Introduced within monday CRM, this is a new product for bridging marketing and sales. It allows campaign actions to tie directly into CRM data, making it easier to trace how marketing efforts convert into deals. This aligns with Work Management, CRM, Service, and other modules.
  • Platform integration of agents and apps: monday.com makes it possible for AI agents and apps to connect directly to your workspace. Once linked, they can manage boards, set items, generate insights — all within your account’s source of truth. That way AI doesn’t live in a silo.

These changes suggest that monday.com is aiming to shift from a tool that manages work to one that executes work — or at least helps you with execution.

Dashboard, UI & board enhancements (Platform / Work Management)

To improve daily usability and visibility, monday rolled out a few interface and board-level upgrades:

  • List widget on dashboards: Now you can add a compact list view widget to any dashboard. It pulls items (from multiple boards) into a prioritized list of of view — great for standups or for quickly surfacing tasks across projects. This improves clarity by avoiding cluttered tables or long boards.
  • AI suggestions for columns: In board editing, when you describe a function, you want (for example: “track lead’s next follow-up date”). The AI can suggest which column type fits best and even set configuration. This helps new boards or evolving workflows faster.
  • CRM-specific round-robin assignment: In monday CRM, you now have smarter auto-assignment: items (leads, deals) can be distributed evenly among team members using round-robin logic. That helps balance workload and avoids manual assignment bias.
  • Accessibility / UI tweaks (permissions, admin roles): Some updates addressed workspace management: user permissions, admin app placement, and how integrations are managed. These are platform-level improvements for admins.

monday Service & AI for service management (Service module)

While monday Service had already officially exited beta earlier in the year, September brought capability refinements — especially in AI-powered service workflows.

  • AI-powered ticket triage: Service teams can now use AI to automatically summarize incoming tickets, label them by type, detect sentiment or urgency, and route them to the correct agent or team. This reduces manual ticket triage effort.
  • Service-module specific features: The Service module continues to receive unique features (portals, ticket routing, dashboards) tailored to IT, HR, facilities, or external support. These updates ensure that Service isn’t just a clone of Work Management — it's optimized for service workflows. If your organization uses monday Service, the AI triage is a clear win. It reduces overhead and helps ensure tickets land in the right queue quickly.

Enterprise & developer ecosystem updates (Platform / Apps / Integrations)

Behind the scenes, several changes ensure monday.com scales for enterprises and remains extensible.

  • Enterprise-grade capabilities: monday emphasized more robust features intended for large organizations — better governance, security, monitoring, and scalability.
  • Partner program expansion: monday.com expanded its partner program with AI and Service specializations, complementing its existing CRM specialization. This helps ensure that partner firms can specialize in these domains, providing consulting or implementation services knowledgeably.
  • Future agent rollouts: While many agent features were announced, full agent deployment (especially for adoption at scale) is expected to roll out into 2026. Some agent types (e.g. SDR / outreach agents) were previewed.
  • API / app framework updates: The changes in agent connectivity and app embedding imply likely shifts in APIs or app developer guidelines. If you build custom apps or integrations, you'll want to check out the developer's changelog for version compatibility.

These updates signal that monday.com is trying to be not just a tool you deploy, but a platform you build on — especially when AI is involved.

What these updates mean in practice

Teams that use Work Management will now see richer automation and AI support without needing to stitch in external tools.

CRM users gain campaign-level orchestration and smarter assignment — making sales and marketing work more tightly integrated inside monday.

Service teams benefit from AI-powered triage, helping reduce manual overhead and getting tickets to the right hands faster.

For admins and architects, the enhancements to permissioning, app placement, and enterprise controls make governance cleaner.
